MARTA HERRERA
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Hotel Vía Augusta - DyD interior design
Renovation of Via Augusta's breakfast buffet and reception. Located in a classic building built in 1940, the interior design preserves some elements from the time the building was built. However, it's not a retro style space, it was important for the client to make their guests modern impressions since they come into the hotel. Some 40s materials are used such as rattan grids that function as luminaires. In order to link the hotel to the city and create a more personalized space, they are also used shapes and elements extracted from the design and pre-designs of the street tiles used in Barcelona.
In the rear area, a multipurpose space is created. It works as a buffet while breakfast is taking place and it becomes a perfect wokspace lounge available for the guests of the hotel all day long.

Suites hotel Palmasol - DyD interiorismo
Palmasol's hotel renovation project. Located in Malaga, used materials refer to the architecture of the Mediterranean towns and its tradition. An example pof this is the large wooden slide wich is a reinterpretation of Mallorcan blinds. Color palette is used in very light tones, such as blues and greens, present throughout the Mediterranean coast. With this elements it's possible to link the interior design of the hotel with the place where it is located.
Client's premises comprised a room that would normally be used for two people, expandable to four. To comply with them, the sofas in the living room are converted into single beds. 3d views made by Marta Herrera.

Restaurant Rambután Suites Atlantis Fuerteventura
Restaurant designed based on its existing name, Rambután. This is a fruit native to Southeast Asia that is characterized by its peel, which is covered with long, semi-curved spikes. Taking this fruit as a reference, the interior design project is developed using huge rattan lamps that give the restaurant a very exotic feeling.
Very brightly colored handmade ceramic wall tiles are also used. They add brightness and joy to the rest of the space.
